Jordan Rubin Garden of Life
Jordan Rubin — Founder, Chairman
& Chief Executive Officer
Jordan Rubin formulated Garden of Life's exclusive line of more than 30 nutritional formulas. He also co-developed the proprietary probiotic fermentation process, known as Poten-Zyme™. Jordan Rubin has also authored books on nutritional health and makes frequent media appearances. Brian Ray

Brian Ray
President

Brian Ray helped Jordan Rubin start Garden of Life and worked for the company as Chief Financial Officer from 2001 to 2005. His most recent role before returning to Garden of Life was Chief Accounting Officer (CAO) and VP of Finance for Ameripath, Inc. a $1.0 billion anatomic pathology lab Company owned by Welsh, Carson, Anderson, and Stowe (WCAS). WCAS is the largest and most successful healthcare private equity group in the United States. At Ameripath Brian was in charge of all business planning, accounting, and finance aspects of the company including all mergers and acquisitions. In May 2007 Brian helped lead the sale of Ameripath to Quest Diagnostics, Inc. for $2 billion. Brian decided to recently rejoin Garden of Life because of Jordan’s unfettered mission and also because it gives Brian an opportunity to improve peoples’ lives. Brian is committed to the vision of Garden of Life and is driving the Company towards extraordinary results.

Brian Ray is a graduate of the University of Florida where he received a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting and in finance. He also received a Masters degree in Accounting. Brian is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the Florida Society of CPAs. Brian lives in West Palm Beach, Florida with his wife Kristen and lovely daughter Logan. Brian is active in the community and currently sits on the Special Olympics Advisory Board

Jeff Brams
General Counsel and Vice President of International

Jeff possesses broad legal experience ranging from public relations and marketing to food regulatory issues to litigation management. He has worked on mergers and acquisitions, securities, corporate governance, and supply and distribution. Jeff's experience also spans the international arena where he has an intricate knowledge of import and export, international law, and intellectual property. He is well versed with the regulatory issues in working with the FTC, FDA, USDA, and oversees Garden of Life's legal, regulatory compliance and international business relationships. Jeff received his Bachelor of Science in Finance from Oral Roberts University and his Juris Doctorate from the University of Florida College of Law. He enjoys spending time with his wife and their two young sons.

Charlie Chiaverini

Vice President of Global Sales

Charlie Chiaverini has been a key player in the nutrition industry for more than a decade. He has held the position of Vice President of Sports Nutrition, Diet & HBA of GNC, where he directed brand and product development for these categories, developed and launched 21 new products, and expanded the sports category market share. His face is well known in the industry, as well as his charismatic and outgoing attitude. He takes pride in being a part of Garden of Life because he has the ability to help people’s overall wellness and really make a difference. In his personal life, Charlie focuses on making a difference in the lives of his two young children. Charlie earned his BA from Florida State University.

Jason Dewberry
Vice President of Marketing and Media

Jason has worked with Jordan Rubin for the last five years and has held executive level positions at Garden of Life related to formulation, supply chain, marketing, education, research & development, publishing, and communications. His diverse experience with the company and the industry allows him to add value to many areas within Garden of Life. Jason oversees all aspects of marketing, including publishing, television and mass media. His overall focus with Garden of Life concentrates on increasing consumer awareness and demand in the marketplace and developing new channels in order to reach new consumers. Jason studied History and Religion at Florida State University and lives in West Palm Beach with his wife Sherry, their son Bryce.

Kent KeyserScott Eibel
Vice President of Operations

Scott possesses over 15 years of professional experience in healthcare, wellness and consumer products. He has held numerous operational, executive and general management roles at General Electric, Johnson & Johnson and Eli Lilly. Over the past three years Scott served as President of two entrepreneurial growth organizations in the natural health industry. His responsibilities at Garden of Life include Product Development, Operations and Administration. Scott received a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Vanderbilt University and a Masters in Management from Northwestern’s JL Kellogg Graduate School of Management.

Kent KeyserKent Keyser
Vice President of Sales

Kent began his career in the natural products industry when he joined Natural Balance in 1987.   Kent served as executive vice president and was instrumental in sixteen years of exciting company and industry growth, establishing exciting new product lines industry wide. Before joining Garden of Life Kent served as a Vice President with Nutraceutical Corporation with responsibility for five Nutraceutical  brands.  He gained rich experience working with some very talented people and developed a capable nation wide sales team. Kent has had primary responsibility for developing and managing an effective direct sales organization with both Natural Balance and Nutraceutical. Kent is excited as he joins Garden of Life and is inspired by opportunity to be a part of a great company with great people and great products.

Eric SchmittErik Schmitt
Vice President of Finance

Erik Schmitt has helped grow Garden of Life in the area of finance since 2002. He has learned this area of Garden of Life in and out as he served as Controller, then Senior Director of Finance and now Vice President. He is committed to Garden of Life in designing, developing and overseeing all financial systems, policies and practices to the highest standards, yet his serious role is balanced by his positive and enthusiastic personality. Since he earned his BS in Accounting from Florida State University, Erik has worked in finance in the banking, fuel and property development industries. He enjoys the Empowering Extraordinary Health message of Garden of Life because it involves impacting other people and compliments his active lifestyle, which includes biking, softball, raquetball, hiking, and exercising.

Dr. BrascoJoseph D. Brasco, M.D.
Gastroenterologist

With extensive expertise and experience in gastroenterology and internal medicine, Dr. Brasco is a valued resource for media and medical writers. He skillfully combines diet, supplementation, and judicious use of medications to provide a comprehensive treatment program that reflects the insight of several disciplines. In his book Restoring Your Digestive Health, published in 2003, he addresses many digestive health challenges and how to overcome them. Dr. Brasco earned his Medical Doctorate at the Medical College of Wisconsin and completed his residency at the University of Illinois, Chicago. His credibility and knowledge of his craft is demonstrated by the impact he is making in the lives of his patients at Ball Memorial Hospital in Muncie, Indiana and in his certification by the American Board of Internal Medicine in both Gastroenterology and Internal Medicine. Dr. Brasco is also a medical consultant for Garden of Life in the area of digestive health and in his spare time, he trains as an amateur runner in triathlons.
