Here is Awesome...Cam Awesome!

Garden of Life sponsored athlete Cam Awesome lives up to his name. Cam was inspired to go on a plant-based diet after meeting a fellow boxer who mentioned that he was going to lose about 50lbs in 6 months for a fight. Each week Cam saw him come in leaner and stronger, so he decided to challenge himself to a 28 day plant-based diet. After two weeks, Cam was hooked and became the Plant-Based Boxer.

The weekend of March 2nd & 3rd, Cam headed to the 2013 Arnold Classic and Sports Festival in Colombus, Ohio. Cam had bouts on both Saturday and Sunday evenings. Unfortunately, Cam's opponent on Saturday backed out of their fight. On Sunday, Cam fought a hometown favorite but being plant strong he prevailed and Cam picked up the win!

Not one to sit still, Cam returned home to Kansas late on Sunday long enough to rest for a short while, pack and head off to Las Vegas to spar and prepare for his next bout on March 14th in an Amateur Boxing Benefit in Iowa. He will return home for a day then head out to train and spar in San Diego for a few days, then off to Minnesota to spar and train again in preparation for Nationals in Spokane, Washington.

"I have a busy week ahead of me," he says, "But I will be bringing my Garden of Life bars and travel-size RAW protein powders."

We wish Cam the best of luck over these next few weeks leading up to Nationals!
