Garden of Life Supports Whole Planet Foundation’s Supplier Alliance for Microcredit Campaign

Posted by: Rhonda Price on Friday, March 15, 2013

As a proud supporter of the Whole Planet Foundation’s Supplier Alliance for Microcredit, Garden of Life donates $50,000 per year to help fund microlending projects for countries around the world, including the United States. With Whole Foods Market covering all of the Foundation’s operating costs, 100 percent of the donations from the Supplier Alliance will make a difference in the lives of people around the globe. This year, Garden of Life and several other companies will collectively raise more than $650,000 for the Foundation and fund programs for more than 23,000 people.

From now until March 31, individuals can also contribute to the Whole Planet Foundation’s Annual Prosperity Campaign goal of raising $5.7 million by donating at a local Whole Foods store or online. To date, approximately $3,274,338 has been raised for the cause.

“We’re proud to be able to support the important mission of the Whole Planet Foundation,” said Garden of Life President Brian Ray. “We’re pleased to be a part of this initiative to help alleviate poverty and enable families to support themselves through microcredit lending.”
