Garden of Lifer Gets Rugged!

Posted by: Ursula Zamora on Friday, May 03, 2013

Recently one of our amazing Garden of Life customer service reps Vanessa took on the Rugged Runner Challenge locally in West Palm Beach, FL along with her daughter Roxy. Vanessa and Roxy fueled up for the grueling course with their Raw Protein shakes!

The Rugged Runner Challenge is a 4 mile obstacle that was run on Sunday April 7 hosted by Girls On The Run Palm Beach. The challenge included a kid’s 2 mile event for ages up to 15 year old or 4 mile event for 12-15 year olds. Each event provided up to 20 obstacles to overcome such as rope climbs, mud runs, tire jungles, vertical walls, etc.

Participants could do the course on their own, but teams of coworkers, friends and families are encouraged to particpate.
The event is centered around fun and family activity, so no medals are awarded but winner water bottles are given.

Proceeds from the event went to provide scholarships to girls from low income families to enable their participation in the various Girls On The Run programs.
