Raw Fit Peanut Butter Oatmeal Bars

Posted by: Rhonda Price on Wednesday, June 26, 2013

I love baking with Raw Protein and have experimented with every flavor – Vanilla, Chocolate and Vanilla Spiced Chai. Lately I have been trying out recipes with our new, # 1 selling Raw Fit, and I’m happy to report the results are just as delicious!

I was also intrigued with the idea of making a snack that not only tastes good, but helps burn fat, satisfies hunger and actually helps fight cravings. Raw Fit does all of these things, plus it’s vegan, gluten-free, dairy free, soy free and is USDA Certified Organic. (If your protein powder doesn’t have these credentials, it’s time to switch now so you can have the best!)

I like these bars because you can do all the prep work in less than 10 minutes and pop them in the oven for 20 minutes. Cool for a bit and enjoy them warm with a cup of organic coffee or tea and you’ll be a happy camper. Also, instead of a hard or crunchy “bar,” these turn out moist and cake-like, making them perfect for breakfast or lunch the next day. Here’s how to make them! (for a vegan version, substitute almond milk and 2 teaspoons of coconut oil instead of the egg)

Ingredients:

1 packet or one scoop of Garden of Life RAW FIT

1 ½ cups quick-cooking oats

¼ cup light or dark brown sugar

1 teaspoon baking powder

1 ripe, mashed banana

½ teaspoon salt

1 teaspoon cinnamon

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

½ cup milk or vanilla almond milk

1 large egg, lightly beaten

¼ cup organic peanut butter (or peanut butter of your choice)

Mix all the dry ingredients together with a large spoon. Add in the vanilla extract, egg, and milk until combined. Mash a banana with a fork and add to the mixture with the peanut butter. Stir everything well and pour into a greased 8 x 8 pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 20 minutes. Cut into bars and enjoy, knowing that you are getting high protein for weight loss with Raw Fit!
