RAW Fit Blueberry Burner Smoothie

Posted by: Garden of Life on Wednesday, July 24, 2013

By now you’ve probably seen Raw Fit in your local health food store or have read about how it’s a dieter’s best friend because it burns fat, satisfies hunger and fights cravings. In just a few months, Raw Fit has become the darling of all protein powders, rising to #2 in sales in the overall protein category after our #1 selling Raw Protein. (sales verified by SPINscan) It could be because health-conscious consumers appreciate that Raw Fit is USDA Certified Organic, (and not all protein powders are organic – check the label!) non-GMO, raw, vegan, gluten-free, dairy-free, soy-free and has a low glycemic index. Or it could be that adding Raw Fit makes a killer smoothie that tastes great and is extremely filling.

If you’re a fan of smoothies, this Raw Fit Blueberry Burner is perfect for breakfast, lunch or any time of day. In addition to 45 grams of plant-based protein, it’s loaded with antioxidants from blueberries and from our new Organic Golden Flaxseed with raw antioxidant fruit. If you’re not familiar with the numerous health benefits of flaxseeds, they are the most concentrated source of beneficial lignans, a polyphenol that supports digestion, reproductive, prostate, breast and heart health. As an added bonus, flaxseeds promote beautiful hair and skin!

At the end of July, we’ll be showcasing Raw Fit at BlogHer 2013 and will be working with bloggers from all over the country to bring more Raw Fit recipes to you. In the meantime, now that you know this Raw Fit Blueberry Burner is brimming with nutrients your body will love, here’s how to make it:

Ingredients:

1 packet or two scoops of Garden of Life Raw Fit

2 Tablespoons of Garden of Life Organic Golden Flaxseed and Raw Organic Antioxidant Fruit

1 cup of organic blueberries

1 cup of vanilla almond milk, sweetened or unsweetened

1 banana

A few ice cubes

Wash blueberries thoroughly and pat dry with a towel. In a blender, combine almond milk, Raw Fit, flaxseed, banana, blueberries and ice cubes. Blend on high for one minute and enjoy!
