Garden of Life Participates in Social Media Day with Red Sox at Fenway Park

Recently I had the privilege of participating in the Red Sox Social Media Day at Fenway Park. The team welcomed social media enthusiasts with designated seats, offers, promotions, and a special event held prior to the game against the Arizona Diamondbacks. Held high above the park near the famed Pesky Pole, the pre-game  event also offered social media fans a chance to chat with sportscasters, Red Sox employees, and catcher David Ross.

After the event, participants and other Fenway faithful got to spend the afternoon watching the Red Sox defeat the Diamondbacks 4-0 under seven shut-out innings. The Sox cruised to a win largely due to the efforts of pitcher Felix Dubront and hits by Dustin Pedroia, Stephen Drew, Brock Holt and Shane Victorino.

As a longtime member of the Red Sox Nation, I also had a “proud Mom” moment because I was able to take my eight-year- old son to his first game at Fenway. He was very excited to see the Green Monster and watch the game from our seats behind home plate.

It was also a thrill to see the Red Sox doing so well because prior to the season, the team added Garden of Life’s Raw Meal to their training regimen. Of course we’d like to think that since the Red Sox have led the American League East for most of the 2013 season, Raw Meal could be their secret weapon that has made a big difference! We’re eager to see the RAW Red Sox ready to take on the post -season and make a run for the World Series again!
