Posted by: Garden of Life on Wednesday, August 14, 2013

Garden of Life is pleased to announce the addition of Eric Dunkley to our team of sponsored athletes!

Eric is a highly ranked Triathlete and Active Duty Armor Officer who has served the past 12 years, including three combat tours in Iraq.  A Purple Heart recipient, Eric was wounded in combat with a gunshot wound to the lower back near the spine.  A true inspiration and hero, Eric says, “Triathlon has been an amazing sport with fantastic people that has given me a positive outlet for moving forward after three combat tours.”

A longtime Garden of Life consumer, Eric shares, “I have been using your RAW Meal for about 2 years and absolutely love it; it's very filling and a great post workout recovery with a glass of almond milk.”

A National Police officer giving Eric a flower and calling him a "beautiful person" after Eric provided medical treatment to a child he pulled out of the street with a bad head injury from shrapnel.  Thankfully, the child survived with no serious issues.

An exceptional example of positive living and “Empowering Extraordinary Health” through and through, let’s give a warm welcome to Eric!

Thank you Garden of Life for the great partnership/sponsorship. Your company philosophy and your products are second to none! I am hear to help anyone that may be interested in the sport of triathlon or is beginning in this amazing sport. Also, if you know a combat veteran that is struggling with the adjustments of being back in the states, I will gladly reach out to support them or put them in touch with other veterans/active duty members such as Team Red, White, and Blue. They are not alone.

Thank you. Get out and Tri!
