Hard not to feel punked once you take a sip of this pumpkin smoothie that actually has no pumpkin in it! It’s packed with nutrients and free of processed sugar, soy, wheat and dairy.
2 cups of almond milk (fresh is best, see recipe below)
1 cup fresh carrot juice
1 scoop Garden of Life® Vanilla Spiced Chai RAW Protein
1 Tbsp. pumpkin pie spice
2 ½ cups organic frozen bananas
6 Medjool dates soaked in water for about 1 hour, then rinsed
Recipe for Fresh Almond Milk:
1 cup unsalted, raw almonds soaked in water for several hours
4 pitted Medjool dates (you can soak these with the almonds)
3 cups water
½ tsp. vanilla extract
Preparation for Almond Milk:
After soaking almonds and dates, rinse well and place in blender with water and vanilla. Blend on high for about a minute. Pour liquid through a seed bag or cheese cloth and reserve liquid in a glass jar. Lasts 3 days refrigerated.
Preparation For the Smoothie:
Place all ingredients into a blender and blend until smooth and creamy. Serve immediately and enjoy!
