Raw Protein Peanut Butter Workout Balls

Fitness enthusiasts know that work outs seem much easier when you’re fueled with a little bit of something packed with protein. I usually like to make a Raw Protein Energy shake or a Raw Protein Marley Coffee Raw Fit shake if it’s first thing in the morning, but on other days I just like to grab something and go! These Raw Protein Peanut Butter “work out” balls are perfect for the task and also got a big thumbs up from my teenager, who claims he feels stronger after eating them!

The other great thing about these “exercise” balls is that you can make them in about five minutes or less. Seriously! Throw everything in a bowl, mix it with a spoon and you are on your way to protein bliss in a hurry.



Here’s what you’ll need:

1 scoop of Garden of Life Raw Protein (I used chocolate flavor) any flavor

1/3 cup natural peanut butter (look for organic!)

¼ cup honey (my son likes raw honey, so that’s what we used for these)

3 Tablespoons Garden of Life Raw Organics Flaxseed (we used the antioxidant blend)

Optional: 2-3 Tablespoons carob chips or vegan chocolate chips


To make:

Mix all ingredients in a medium bowl with a spoon until well blended. Roll into balls and eat a few before a work out. Refrigerate the rest and enjoy later. Makes about 15 balls, but the recipe is easily doubled or tripled.
