Garden of Life had the amazing opportunity to sponsor and exhibit at the nations premier blogging conference for women called BlogHer. BlogHer '13 was in late July in Chicago.
Conference attendees spent the weekend participating in special events, conferences, workshops and meeting with sponsors. Garden of Life sampled Raw Fit and fucoTHIN Green with bloggers of all types. As part of the weekend, bloggers who stopped by to speak with us also had the opportunity to win a trip for two to the Breakers Palm Beach Resort, and bloggers received additional entries for each review, recipe and giveaway they posted.
In early November 2013 we were able to choose two lucky winners! Below is the blog post from our first winner Brenna Mader of www.wanderlustandglitterdust.com. Not only is Brenna an enthusiastic blogger but she is also Miss Tennessee 2013!
We are looking forward to our other winner taking her trip and telling us about her experience!
As mentioned in previous posts about trips to Miami and Key West, my spontaneous trip to Florida spawned from a contest I won from one of my favorite (raw, vegan, gluten free, organic, sustainable!) companies, Garden of Life. The reason we were so anxious to leave Key West was to get to Palm Beach because we were staying at the most beautiful and magnificent hotel known to mankind, The Breakers.

As we drove up and saw this sight, we were immediately ashamed of being unshowered and in shorts and flip flops. Something about being at what was voted as Independent Hotelier of The Year for 2013 makes you want to try to match the beauty all around you.
We instantaneously decided that for the duration of our stay we didn’t really need to leave the premises. The Breakers is absolutely the most beautiful and relaxing resort I’ve been to. Taryn, Claire, and I made many toasts during our time there stating that we would be coming back again.
As you might know from previous posts, one of the things I find most hilarious are awkward vacation photos, I managed to find a couple of those in some outtakes of what was supposed to be me playfully jumping off a rock… #fail
The Breakers has numerous great restaurants right on site – my favorite was HMF, a super glamorous restaurant with the best looking staff I’ve ever seen. We experienced numerous nights of great food and drink there including the best salad I’ve ever had in my life and the best espresso martini I’ve ever had in my life. And this:
We were also treated to a first class tour-guided night by some of Palm Beach (and other parts of South Florida)’s finest. Mutual friends forced these sweet boys to take us out on our last night there.
Here’s the thing… if you stay at The Breakers, you don’t really need to do anything else. The resort has anything you could possibly want. If you do venture outside, Palm Beach is a beautiful city with a lot of fun restaurants and shopping… but I really just want to go back to The Breakers. I can’t thank the kind people from Garden of Life enough for the trip of a lifetime! There couldn’t have possibly been a better way for me to start 2014.
