Raw Protein Summer Sorbet

Posted by: Ursula Zamora on Monday, March 31, 2014

One of the hardest things for many of us to do when changing our diets and eating habits is what to do to treat yourself from time to time.  Having recently purchased a Vitamix, my kids and I have been loving making our own sorbets!

You can use any of your favorite frozen fruits.  If you are lucky enough to grow and freeze your own fresh fruits you can use that, if not find the best frozen organic fruit available.  For this post, I used a blend of organic cherries, blackberries, strawberries, blueberries and raspberries-all fruits that mean summer for me.  Previous blends that we've made were with mango, banana and pineapple.

Raw Protein  Summer Sorbet

1 cup frozen fruit of your choice

1 frozen banana

1 scoop Raw Protein Vanilla

1/4 c almond milk (for this recipe I used Califia Unsweetened Toasted Coconut Almond Milk)

Add all ingredients into your blender or food processor.  Blend until smooth.  Scoop out into 2 cups or glasses.  Top with complimentary fresh or frozen fruit.
