Berry Delicious Smoothie

Berry Delicious Smoothie
Serves 2 to 4

2 cups non-dairy milk 
3 pitted organic Medjool dates, soaked in ½ cup water
1 Tablespoon Garden of Life Coconut Oil
1 scoop Garden of Life Vanilla RAW Protein Powder
1 scoop Garden of Life Super Seed® (optional for kids 4 and older)
2 teaspoons Garden of Life RAW Organics™ Super Omega 3 Organic Chia Seed
1 cup organic frozen strawberries
1 cup organic frozen raspberries
1 organic orange, peeled

Place all ingredients (including the ½ cup water the dates soaked in) and blend on high until smooth. Serve immediately as a healthy breakfast, snack or dessert!

Quinoa Pudding

Quinoa Pudding
Serves 6

1 cup organic quinoa
6 cups water
3 large organic eggs
3 cups whole organic milk
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
½ cup plus one Tablespoon rapadura
½ teaspoon cinnamon
pinch of salt
¼ cup slivered almonds
¼ cup raisins

Wash quinoa well and drain. Bring water to a boil and cook grain until white spots appear in the middle, or 7 to 8 minutes. Drain. Preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. Whisk together milk, eggs, vanilla, rapadura, ¼ teaspoon cinnamon and salt. Stir in quinoa, nuts and raisins. Pour into buttered 9” baking dish, and sprinkle remaining cinnamon and rapadura on top. Bake 35 to 40 minutes until set. Serve warm or at room temperature.

Ginger Ale

Ginger Ale
Makes 2 quarts

¾ cup ginger, peeled and finely chopped or grated
½ cup fresh lime juice
¼ to ½ cup rapadura or dehydrated cane juice
2 teaspoons Celtic sea salt
¼ cup homemade whey
2 quarts filtered water

Place all ingredients in a 2-quart jug and fill with water. Stir well and cover tightly. Keep at room temperature for two days before transferring to refrigerator. This will keep several months well chilled. To serve, strain and mix half ginger ale with half purified water or naturally sparkling water. Best consumed at room temperature, not cold.
