Ingredients
- ½ cup rolled oats
- 1 scoop Garden of Life Sport Grass-Fed Chocolate Whey Protein
- 1 small frozen banana
- 1 cup loosely packed baby spinach
- 2 Tbsp. unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1 Tbsp. peanut butter
- 1 Tbsp. ground flaxseed
- 1 cup unsweetened almond milk (or milk of choice)
- ¼ tsp. ground cinnamon
- Pinch of sea salt
- Optional garnishes: chocolate syrup and mini chocolate chips
Instructions
- Place the oats in a small, dry skillet set over medium heat. Cook for 3 to 5 minutes, stirring often, until they turn golden brown and smell nutty.
- Transfer the oats to your blender. Add the protein powder, banana, spinach, cocoa powder, peanut butter, flaxseed, milk, cinnamon, and salt.
- Blend on high for 30 to 45 seconds until everything is fully incorporated. If needed, blend in a few splashes of milk for a thinner consistency or a few ice cubes for a thicker shake.
- Pour into a glass and enjoy right away or take your chocolate oatmeal protein shake to go in a shaker bottle. If desired, drizzle chocolate syrup on the sides of your glass before pouring and sprinkle extra oats and mini chocolate chips on top of your shake.
