Gwen Eager
Product Specialist & Healthy Living Educator
Gwen is a former classroom teacher who saw firsthand the effects of food on kids’ moods—a principle that applies to adults, too. In short, if you eat bad food, then you get a bad mood. But if you eat good food, then you’ll have a good mood!
Gwen is now a certified raw vegan chef who also serves as a Garden of Life Product Specialist—and she still believes firmly in eating good food for a good mood.

Gwen’s Q & A:

What is your personal nutrition philosophy? Listen to your body! There is no “one diet fits all.” However, I do believe that everyone needs to incorporate produce into their diet every day, minimize processed foods, focus on “real” food and don’t feel bad to have a cheat meal once a week.
What are some of the staples in your grocery basket and pantry? Avocados, sea salt, coconut oil, kale, kale chips, almond milk, Kerrygold butter, olive oil, wild caught salmon, organic apples, almond butter and garlic
What is your favorite meal? Too many to choose from! So, I will tell you my favorite snack: avocado with Dijon mustard and sauerkraut.
How do you stay fit? P90X3 and daily walks…Oh, and having a baby (breastfeeding burns lots of calories!)
Who is your nutrition mentor or hero? Chris Kresser
What do you read? I don’t read much now that I have a baby, but I listen to John Piper on Youtube pretty much every day.
What sports team(s) do you follow? White Sox
Where is your favorite vacation spot? Italy
Fun facts about yourself: I play guitar and piano, which comes in handy now when singing songs to Murphy. I love durian fruit, and can eat an entire one by myself. I can make amazing desserts that are 100% healthy. My favorite things to do are exploring new restaurants, watching the Food Network, spending time with my husband and son, grocery shopping, and getting creative in the kitchen with recipe development.
