Makes: 24 donut holes

Prep Time: 15 minutes

Cook Time: 5 minutes

Total Time: 20 minutes

Ingredients

½ cup unsweetened applesauce

1 large egg

¼ cup granulated sweetener

3 Tbsp. unsweetened cocoa powder

1 tsp. baking powder

¼ tsp. sea salt

½ tsp. apple cider vinegar

2 scoops Garden of Life Organic Protein, Caramel Mocha Latte

½ cup, plus 2 Tbsp. all-purpose flour

3 Tbsp. powdered sugar, for rolling

Instructions

  1. In a medium mixing bowl, mix together the applesauce and egg until incorporated. Stir in granulated sweetener, cocoa powder, baking powder, salt, and apple cider vinegar.
  2. Add protein powder and flour to the mixture and stir until no more dry ingredients are visible. The dough will be slightly sticky and should pull together into a ball. If your dough is too wet, sprinkle in a little more flour.
  3. Pinch off pieces of dough and roll into 1-inch balls. Place donut holes in a single layer in an air fryer basket, leaving an inch of space between them. Depending on the size of your air fryer, you may have to cook the donut holes in batches
  4. Set the air fryer for 350 degrees Fahrenheit and cook donut holes until cooked through and lightly browned, about 4 to 5 minutes per batch.
  5. Place powdered sugar in a clean bowl. Transfer the warm donut holes to the sugar and shake the bowl till they’re lightly coated in sugar. Serve warm
