Chocolate & Vanilla Glazed Collagen Donuts

For Donuts:
  • 1 cup gluten-free flour
  • 1 scoop Garden of Life Collagen Peptides
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • ¼ teaspoon baking
  • soda
  • ¼ teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1 egg
  • ½ cup coconut palm sugar
  • ½ cup almond milk
  • 2 ½ Tablespoons vegan butter
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Chocolate Frosting:
  • ½ cup chocolate chips
  • 2 Tablespoons vegan butter
  • 1 Tablespoon maple syrup
  • 2 teaspoons water
Vanilla Frosting:
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 ½ Tablespoons almond milk or almond milk creamer
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
Directions:
  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  2. To make the donuts, mix together the dry ingredients (first five ingredients).
  3. Next, mix together the wet ingredients (next five ingredients) and then add the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients.
  4. Mix again until well combined.
  5. Pour batter into a greased donut pan (9 cavity pan) and bake for 10 minutes.
  6. Let donuts cool then add frosting and sprinkles.
To make the chocolate frosting, melt chocolate chips in a double broiler with other ingredients. To make vanilla frosting: Whisk together all ingredients.
