Ingredients:
Vanilla Chai Donuts:
- ½ cup Garden of Life Vanilla Chai Protein Powder
- 2 Tbsp. all-purpose flour
- ½ tsp. baking powder
- ½ tsp. cinnamon
- ¼ tsp. nutmeg
- ¼ tsp. salt
- 2 large egg whites
- 1 Tbsp. Garden of Life Extra Virgin Coconut Oil, melted
Almond Glaze:
- 3 Tbsp. Garden of Life Extra Virgin Coconut Oil, melted
- ¼ cup almond butter
- 2 Tbsp. milk of choice
- 2 Tbsp. maple syrup
Instructions:
- Preheat oven to 325 degrees F.
- In a mixing bowl, combine the protein powder, flour, baking powder, cinnamon, nutmeg and salt. Whisk until well combined. Add the egg whites and coconut oil and mix well.
- Pipe batter into a greased donut pan with 6 cavities. Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until done.
- Cool slightly before removing the donuts from pan to cool completely on a wire rack.
- To make the glaze, whisk together all glaze ingredients in a bowl until smooth and pourable. If too thick, add more milk, 1 tablespoon at a time, until glaze is drizzly.
- Using a fork, dip each donut in the glaze, and make sure it is covered by turning it over in the glaze. Let excess glaze drip off the donut. Place glazed donuts on a parchment-lined surface to set.
- Once set, repeat with a second coating and allow to dry before serving. Enjoy!
