

These Cinnamon Roll Protein Bites capture the essence of traditional cinnamon rolls with more nutritious ingredients. They’re made with dates to mimic the sweet, ooey-gooey center of cinnamon rolls without added sugar and plenty of cinnamon for a warm, spiced flavor. Toasted oats and cashews provide nuttiness, and a scoop of our Vanilla Raw Organic Protein adds extra vanilla flavor and the goodness of protein.

Ingredients:
- 12 Medjool dates, pitted
- ½ cup rolled oats, toasted
- 1 cup raw cashews
- 3 Tbsp. hemp seeds
- 1 ½ tsp. ground cinnamon
- ¼ tsp. sea salt
- 1 tsp. pure vanilla extract
- 1 scoop Garden of Life Raw Organic Protein Powder, Vanilla
- ⅓ cup powdered sugar, optional
Preparation:
- Place dates in a small bowl and cover with hot water. Soak for 5 minutes.
- Meanwhile, place oats in a small pan set over medium heat. Cook until lightly golden and fragrant, about 3 to 4 minutes.
- Remove dates from water, but do not discard the water. Place the dates, toasted oats, cashews, hemp seeds, cinnamon, salt, vanilla, and protein powder in the bowl of a food processor with a multipurpose blade. Process until everything is finely chopped.
- With the food processor running, add ¼ cup of the reserved water. The mixture should pull away from the sides of the bowl and start to form a ball. If it’s too dry, add more water one tablespoon at a time.
- Roll the mixture into balls approximately 1 1/4 inches in diameter. Arrange balls on a parchment lined plate or baking sheet.
- In a small bowl, mix powdered sugar with one teaspoon of water. The glaze should be thick enough to coat a spoon. Drizzle the glaze over the protein bites.
- Transfer to the refrigerator to let the glaze set, about 15 minutes. Serve immediately or store in an airtight container in the refrigerator.
